Numerology has been attacked for going against the laws and teachings of God. In fact, just the reverse is true. The Bible, the Talmud, the Koran, even the Egyptian Book of the Dead, have alluded to numbers in ways that require interpretation by people of wisdom. Edgar Cayce, the Sleeping Prophet of Virginia Beach, was able to read the Akashic Records. It is said that every sound, thought and vibration since the beginning of time is registered on these records, including the first sound vibration which called forth manifestation. Cayce in his readings brought out information on past lives that was useful in present incarnations, helping people regain health and conduct their lives in more constructive patterns. Cayce confirmed the validity of astrology, pointing out. however, that in many instances, astrology does not account for past life experiences that bear significantly on the present. Numerology, on the other hand, goes directly to past lives and the soul’s place in evolution. The origin of numerology can be dated as far as 10,000 years or more, to the time of Egyptian and Babylonian rule. A very famous mathematician named Pythagoras is known to be the originator of this technique about 2,600 years ago in ancient Greece. He was also the person who presented the world with the popular Pythagoras theorem or right angle theorem. However, the art of numerology was somewhat unexplored till the start of the twentieth century when Dow Balliet, an American woman, researched on this field and came out with a few books which marked a new phase in numerology. Through years, this art has developed gradually and has become a topic of great interest and research in today’s world. There are certain laws that govern this art. Numerology basically deals with a star, seven planets and a satellite. The planets are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus. The star is the Sun and satellite is the Moon. It is based on the assertion by Pythagoras that all things can be expressed in numerical terms because they are ultimately reducible to numbers. Using a method analogous to that of the Greek and Hebrew alphabets (in which each letter also represented a number), modern numerology attaches a series of digits to an inquirer’s name and uses these, along with the date of birth, to reveal the person’s true nature and prospects.Our ancestors spoke to us through allegories, metaphors, & symbolism.  Many are coming to the belief that the ancients knew more about what was out there and within us than we do now.  They looked out there and saw things in the stars that we are just starting to understand….Michael Cremo in his book “Forbidden Knowledge” gives a very interesting argument to this idea.
